Behind the Studio: Meet Your Tutor

Hi, I’m Oliver. I am a University of Toronto Bachelor of Science graduate, a long-time Niagara resident, and the full-time instructor behind Tic Tac Tutors. For more than a decade, I have dedicated my career to a single, focused mission: breaking down complex mathematics, senior STEM pathways, and foundational literacy into clear, manageable steps that build permanent academic confidence in local students.

Unlike commercial tutoring franchises that treat students like numbers on an assembly line, I operate a private, boutique home learning studio right here in Fonthill. When you work with Tic Tac Tutors, your child doesn’t get passed off to a rotating shift of minimum-wage college students. They get 100% of my time, attention, and curriculum expertise in every single session.

My Academic Philosophy: Clarity, Pacing, & Structure

I do not believe in quick fixes, superficial homework cramming, or handing children repetitive generic worksheets. True academic transformation happens when a student masters the underlying structural logic of a subject and builds healthy independent routines.

My approach combines top-tier academic rigor with a quiet, distraction-free environment where it is safe to make mistakes, ask deep questions, and decompress from classroom anxiety. I actively track the exact pacing schedules, textbooks, and grading metrics used by the District School Board of Niagara (DSBN) and the Niagara Catholic District School Board to ensure my students are always steps ahead of their school teachers.

Qualifications & Local Expertise

  • Top-Tier Education: Graduated from the University of Toronto with a specialized Bachelor of Science degree, establishing a deep foundational mastery of advanced mathematical transformations, biochemistry frameworks, and scientific methodologies.

  • 10+ Years of Experience: Over a decade of full-time, professional one-on-one instructional experience navigating the unique demands of the Ontario secondary and elementary school tracks.

  • Niagara Classroom Alignment: Deeply familiar with the academic expectations and specific course codes at local secondary schools, including Notre Dame College School, E.L. Crossley, and Welland Centennial.

Inside the Fonthill Drop-Off Learning Studio

Tic Tac Tutors operates out of a dedicated, quiet home studio space designed entirely around student focus and academic resource access.

Located centrally in Fonthill, the studio provides a peaceful alternative to noisy commercial strip-mall centers or chaotic school libraries. Parents love the straightforward drop-off setup—allowing your student to check their devices at the door and enter a zone focused entirely on conceptual mastery, while you relax or run local errands nearby during their session block.

Let’s Build an Academic Strategy for September 2026

If your student is experiencing deep conceptual confusion, falling behind their peers, or experiencing severe test anxiety, the worst thing you can do is wait for the first report card to drop.

Spaces at my private studio are strictly capped each semester to maintain premium instructional quality and ensure dedicated, recurring weekly slots for every family. Let’s identify the specific learning roadblocks holding your teen back and fix them permanently.
